I didn't fish today but the doctor did. He worked over a deep dark hole but was not rewarded with the big one. More fishing on the White Clay tomorrow. I hope the fish feel that low pressure from the upcoming storm and go on the feed. I'll be waiting for them!

Seems the fishing is getting better for everyone. Three customers reported catching trout, smallies, and a mixed bag of sunfish on the White Clay Creek in DE & PA. Hare's ear, PT's, Caddis emergers, small black midges, small buggers and yellow or gold bodied streamers all accounted for fish according to the reports. I spend a few hours this morning on the WCC in PA and landed three nice rainbows (where are the browns), all on streamers. This fall will be a blast as the fish are still around in numbers.

Sunday afternoon turned out fine with two rainbow and two smallies. Monday, the fish weren't cooperating. Best fly was a partridge and orange duo fished with a small split shot to enhance covering the water column.

We have added at least a dozen new items to the clearance table including fly rods and reels, so now is the time to find that bargain.

Had a short outing on the White Clay Creek, a Delaware river in PA this morning, and fooled two hungary rainbows. One, on a size 16 rusty spinner and one on a sz 22 black paramidge fished in the film behind the dry.The water is still relatively low even for this time of year and still just slightly tinged from the recent rain. Both fish were very strong and recovered nicely after a short fight. The fall fishing season should be great as there are still plenty of fish making themselves available to fishers that use stealth.

Closeout on hip waders and fleece pants - very limited supply. Get 'em while the supply lasts

It was nice to be on home water after spending a weekend in Pittsburgh helping my son prepare for his wedding this fall. Three rivers out there and I didn't make time to fish a single one. Priorities! I did give the White Clay Creek a try today and the stained water had the fish hidden from sight. One smallmouth fell for a big flashback nymph, but that's all folks.

The fish were happy today and the White Clay Creek, a Delaware River fished well this morning. Best flies were a black wooly with red highlights in the body and a black bead caddis larvae. Browns, a rainbow and smallies all fell for the offerings this morning.
Great day in the morning
