Fished my favorite stretch of the White Clay Creek, a Delaware River in PA today.  The water was slightly turbid from the overnight rain but the fish were active.  Even with the low water the fish were up in feeding positions and an elk hair caddis  - tan sz 14 was working this morning.  A number of crane flies showed up in creek side spider webs, and a sz 6 crane fly adult took one trout today.  Mostly browns today with one about 17".

Hot day and wet wading made it comfortable. Just got off the creek.  The caddis were hatching . I hated to have to leave.  Sz 14/16 tan elk hair did the trick.  A few trout were taken on a all black midge sz 20.

I gave a late afternoon outing on the White Clay Creek, a Delaware River in PA, a try today and to my surprise I encountered a flying ant "hatch".  The size 16 ant was coachman brown with a yellow abdomen.  I had seen this ant before over the past few years but had not actually been in the commotion.  The trout were sipping the fallen flying ant off the surface and in the surface film.  Luckily I had a few of these tied from an earlier observation and took a number of fish on my imitation.

Seems like DE stocked a lot of rainbows in the FFOnly secto of the White Clay Creek.  I fished the section containing the so called O'Donnell hole with very good results.  A size 20 zebra midge was the best fly today.

The DE FF section of the White Clay Creek a Delaware River is still fishing well near the PA border.  Mostly rainbows and a two fly rig, elk hair caddis yellow orange size 16 and a doritos midge dropper seems to be very attractive to them.  I didn't even move my feet for about an hour and had multiple fish.

Fished a foggy WCC this morning.  Thanks to the WCFF the stream looks a lot cleaner due to their efforts in the stream cleanup. The fish were a little spooky today but I managed a brace of browns and a rainbow.  Used a tandem dry and dorito buzzer dropper.  Browns like doritos.

Fished the WCFF outing hosted by the SWFAOD in Cape Helopen Park.  The wind was blowing 15-20 and the waves cresting made wading a safety issue.   One pop-top sized flounder and a small weakfish were all I could dredge up.  The food and comeraderie were just fine.

On good information, I fished the top end of the DEFF section of the WCC in DE/PA.  The rainbows were fiesty and willing to hit a streamer - my favorite Edson Tiger dark sz 12.

Spent a windy afternoon behind Isle of Palms SC with my guide Chad Ferris.   25 knot wind and a rushing tide - one lone redfish to hand.  Charleston is a beautiful destination and the cable stays in the Cooper River Bridge had my stamp on them.

Spent three hours casting on Deer Creek  this morning.  Not a fish in site and no bites.  Two other fishers had like results.
