DE moved their last spring stocking date to Wed - today and more trophy fish were reported to be stocked throughout the FFO stretch.  Tan sj worms produced a number of nice fish in the 20's.  A few pix were sent in and I will try to get them up soon.

Reports indicate that the shad are in Deer Creek and some fishers are having banner days while others are only finding moderate success.  The trout in the WCC in DE are enormous with catches of 24" fish in the 5 pound class being caught every day.  The FFO section of the creek is fishing as good as I have seen for over 20 years with lots of fish being caught and release.  That will certainly extend our fishing into the summer months.  Streamers, woolly's and San Juan worms are great flies right now.  Some reports are that crane fly larvea are also working.

Delaware continues to stock very big fish over 20" in the White Clay Creek, a Delaware River in DE flyfishing only section as well as the bait sections below Hopkins bridge.  You need to treat yourself to an afternoon of fishing the WCC and have the opportunity to catch a truely large trout, before all the put and take fish are gone.

The White Clay Creek, a Delaware river in DE & PA  is running high and muddy today, a good day to try a San Juan worm in dark colors or try a streamer fished tight to the bank.  The creek is fishable even after the storm that dumped a few inches of rain overnight and a few fishers were out this morning taking advantage of the "less crowded" conditions.

Our site had some maintanence done over the last few days so I was unable to blog, but we are back on-line.  The report today is that all brown trophies were stocked in the White Clay Creek in DE . Fish up to 22" are reported.  See you later - gone fishin'.

DE stocked again this past Monday and will continue to stock throughout the month,  Fishing was better today.  The DE stockers seem healthy and many fish are measuring in at 18".  Reports indicate that dam #2 is fishing really well at the base of the dam on size 16/18 pheasant tails.  Reports that some quality fish came from below Wedgewood Rd on Creek road on black buggers.  Seem the volunteers stocking the creek have them spread out nicely.  Congrads to them for the hard work.

The barometer is falling and so were the hope of fishers in DE today.  Multiple reports of no fish today.  They are still in there, but no reports of catches hit the store today.  Seems the fish took the day off.

It snows and rains and the fish don't seem to mind.  Today they were hitting olive colored woolly buggers fished with a BH olive hare's ear dropper.  One day black, one day olive.  Keep your fly box well stocked with, black, olive, white and brown buggers and olive and tan hare's ears and black and flashback pheasant tails and you will have the "right" flies for openning day.  Don't forget to have a golden retriever in reserve too!
